The Prevent Cancer Foundation is holding the Dialogue for Action (TM) on Colorectal Cancer Screening: Prevention Hits the Headlines in Baltimore on March 24 – 26, 2010. The 12th annual conference will bring together a multidisciplinary group of health care professionals from across the nation to discuss colorectal cancer (CRC) screening against the backdrop of dramatic changes in the health care system.
The 2010 conference agenda includes presentations and dynamic small-group discussions on:
-- The emerging role of preventive services, featuring CRC screening, in the changing health care system
-- Elements that contribute to successful programs on a shoestring budget
-- Effective innovations for implementing programs
-- Key findings of the 2010 NIH State-of-the-Science Conference: Enhancing Use and Quality of CRC Screening
The Foundation is delighted to have two fantastic keynote speakers this year. Thursday’s featured keynote speaker, Frances B. Phillips, RN, BSN, MHA, Deputy Secretary for Public Health Services, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, will discuss public health challenges and opportunities ahead for states in the changing health care system. Susan Dentzer, Editor-in-Chief of Health Affairs and former on-air health issues analyst for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS, will present Friday’s keynote address on the role of prevention in the changing health care system.
