7th Annual Colon Cancer Challenge

The New York Colon Cancer Challenge is the premier colorectal cancer awareness event for New York metropolitan area and the nation providing a unique opportunity for the public, survivors, and families to raise awareness and contribute to the fight against this preventable but often fatal disease. It includes a 4-mile run, a 15K run and a 1.7-mile Remembrance and Prevention Walk in Central Park. Funds raised directly support The Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation’s missions of:

* Increasing public awareness about colorectal cancer and its prevention
* Encouraging early colorectal cancer screenings for all
* Educating health care providers and the public
* Support the Colon Cancer Alliance, C5 (Citywide Colon Cancer Control Coalition), and other groups
* Supporting and conducting research into the causes of and cures for colorectal cancer
* Supporting young scientific investigators; the Future of Colon Cancer Research
