Tools & Resources – Review of Population-based Programs for Colorectal Cancer Screening
Colorectal cancer screening with a population-based approach shows significant potential to increase screening among an eligible population in a cost-effective model. The NCCRT commissioned a team to analyze population-based programs in order to determine the elements and processes associated with successfully increasing screening. This review published in CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians in September 2015, Population-based programs for increasing colorectal cancer screening in the United States, is a result of that work.
Thank you to the authors, Manisha Verma, Mona Sarfaty, Durado Brooks and Richard Wender, for their thoughtful examination of this promising approach.
