Dr. Butterly is a gastroenterologist, Director of Colorectal Cancer Screening at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. Butterly is Principle Investigator of the NCI-funded New Hampshire Colonoscopy Registry (NHCR), which is a statewide, population-based registry designed to investigate outcomes and best practices for the use of colonoscopy in colorectal cancer screening. She is the Principle Investigator and Medical Director for the New Hampshire Colorectal Cancer Screening Program (NHCRCSP),  a statewide CDC grant program that works with health systems, including clinics, hospitals, and other health care organizations, to use and strengthen strategies that have been shown to work to improve quality screening.  Dr. Butterly serves on the Steering Committee of the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (NCCRT) and as a Community Liaison for Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center. She also served for seven years as the founding chair of the New Hampshire Comprehensive Cancer Collaboration (CCC), a statewide initiative whose vision is that cancer incidence, morbidity, and mortality should be significantly reduced or eliminated in New Hampshire. Dr. Butterly is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and completed her internship, residency, and GI fellowship training at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.Click here to view other members
