April Barry is the Evaluation Manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of Health Promotion and Risk Reduction, Division of Cancer Prevention and Control. In this position, she is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to assess, plan, and implement evaluation for cancer control in Pennsylvania and overseeing all of the Department of Health’s colorectal cancer and 80% by 2018 initiatives. April has been with the Pennsylvania Department of Health for over 13 years, and she is the co-chair of the Pennsylvania Stakeholder Leadership Team cancer coalition Colorectal Cancer Workgroup. She holds a Master in Social Work from Temple University, has been a Licensed Social Worker in PA since 1999, holds an undergraduate degree from Elizabethtown College, holds certifications in Patient Navigator and Performance Improvement Practice Facilitation, and has over 24 years’ experience in public health and healthcare.
