ACA leads to increase in early stage CRC diagnoses in seniors

A recent study published in Health Affairs examined whether coverage changes mandated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) made an impact on the percentage of colorectal cancers that are diagnosed at an early stage. The authors estimate the ACA led to an increase of 8,400 early-stage diagnoses among seniors in the two years following the coverage changes, which amounts to an 8% increase in early stage diagnoses for this age group.
