2025 ACS NCCRT Volunteer Leadership Strategy Summit
We are thrilled to see everyone from Tuesday, May 13, to Wednesday, May 14, for the 2025 American Cancer Society National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (ACS NCCRT) Volunteer Leadership Strategy Summit. Please read on for important information on our meeting location, your hotel confirmation number, utilizing your complimentary Lyft pass, and updates to our reimbursement process.
Reimbursement
The American Cancer Society is covering all reasonable travel expenses for our attendees. A digital copy of our Volunteer Expense Form (linked below), along with copies of all original receipts must be submitted along with the completed form within 30 days following the meeting using the submission link below. Please see below for our ACS Roundtable Volunteer and Staff Travel Policy to learn more about what is and isn't eligible for reimbursement. We will send reminders about reimbursement following our meeting.

Meeting Location

- Accessing the Meeting Space: The ACS office is located a 0.3 mile or 8-minute walk from the Kimpton Gray Hotel. You should have received an email on Friday, May 9, titled "You have been invited for a visit at AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY by Kat Kosup" which includes a personalized barcode and information on how to access our meeting space. Once you enter the building, these barcodes will be scanned at the elevators to bring you up to our meeting floor. When exiting the elevators, head towards the office with the ACS logo, walk past the sitting/kitchen space, and turn right and then right again, following the corridor past the desks to the corner of the building where we will be meeting. We will have team members in place to assist you!

Important Air Travel Reminder: A Real ID is now required to board all domestic flights. If you do not have a Real ID, a valid passport can be used.

Steering Committee Dinner
The ACS NCCRT will also be hosting a Steering Committee Dinner from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Tuesday, May 13th at Beatrix Loop, located at 155 N Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60606. Beatrix is located a 0.5 mile or 12-minute walk from the Kimpton Gray Hotel. This three-course dinner will include appetizers, main course, and dessert options for each guest. We've discussed all noted food allergies and considerations with the staff, but we recommend reminding the service staff once we arrive.

The hotel is centrally located to our meeting space at the ACS office, as well as the Steering Committee dinner on Tuesday evening (see locations for walking estimates). The area surrounding the hotel in the Loop is very walkable, with multiple bars, restaurants, coffeeshops, and convenience stores nearby and within the hotel, similar to Midtown Manhattan. Ground Transportation & Complimentary Lyft Pass
The hotel and ACS office are approximately 30-60 minutes from ORD or 20-40 minutes from MDW by car, depending on traffic and time of day. Both do have train lines that go straight to and from the airports if you prefer that on a regular schedule (ORD – Blue Line, about 50 minutes, MDW – Orange Line, about 45 minutes). We are able to provide all attendees with Lyft Passes to cover travel to and from your home airport, and to and from the Chicago airports to the hotel. Using your mobile number, we've added your Lyft Pass directly to your Lyft account. To view and use your pass, follow the steps in the attached document. If you use another form of transportation besides Lyft (cab, train, or Uber), the costs incurred can be reimbursed using the process below.
