Celebrating the Life of David Woodmansee, ACS CAN Director of State and Local Campaigns

David (Dave) Woodmansee, longtime advocate for cancer patients and survivors and recent co-chair of the NCCRT Policy Action Task Group, passed away at the age of 58 after his own battle with cancer.

Dave fought cancer for more than 30 years in various positions for the American Cancer Society and the Cancer Action Network, the advocacy affiliate of the ACS. Most recently, Dave served as the director of state and local campaigns. Dave’s work spanned smoking bans to palliative care, but of particular impact to colorectal cancer screening was his work related to the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid expansion, and access to care.

Please join us in expressing our sincere condolences to Dave’s family. Learn more about Dave, his life and his work, in his obituary
