Welcome to this special edition of CRC News, the American Cancer Society National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (ACS NCCRT) periodic newsletter for ACS NCCRT members and partners working toward our shared goal to reach 80% in Every Community.

Call for ACS NCCRT Steering Committee Nominations

Multiple Seats Open This Fall for New Leadership

The ACS NCCRT is now seeking nominations for the Steering Committee. As you know, our Roundtable acts as a catalyst to stimulate work around mission critical colorectal cancer priorities, and our work is guided with direction, input, and leadership from the dedicated members of the Steering Committee.

Nominees can be self-selected or nominated by a colleague, preferably from a participating ACS NCCRT member organization. Representatives from our Corporate Associates may not serve on the Steering Committee, but they may nominate other candidates.

Click the button below to learn more about the nomination process, outlined responsibilities and expectations of Steering Committee members, and access the form to submit your nomination.

If you have any questions or would like any additional information, please email Kaitlin Sylvester at [email protected].

The Brief Focuses on Educating Clinicians About Colorectal Cancer Screening Recommendations

This one-page flyer may be used to remind clinicians about some of the dos and don’ts when it comes to colorectal cancer screening. Partners have the option to cobrand the flyer with their organization’s logo. If you are interested in cobranding, contact your local American Cancer Society representative to complete a licensing agreement.

Pierre L'Poo Trophy

ICYMI: 2024 National Achievement Honoree Blog from Family Health Services

Read About How a Rural FQHC Increased CRC Screening Rates

Family Health Services has worked through adaptive, innovative, and evidence-based quality improvement to reach their predominantly rural population, and it earned them a spot as an honoree for our 2024 80% in Every Community National Achievement Awards. After seeing their six percent screened rate for CRC in 2015, they’ve reached 55% screened in South-Central Idaho, including out of the box methods like their Pierre L’Poo clinic trophy (pictured). Read more about their accomplishments and lessons learned in our newly published interview about their work.
