Proposed changes to CRC HEDIS measure open for public comment

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is seeking public comment on proposed changes to the Colorectal Cancer Screening measure for the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS).

From NCQA: “In response to the June 2016 U.S. Preventive Services Task Force release of an updated colorectal cancer screening recommendation, NCQA initiated a reevaluation of the HEDIS Colorectal Cancer Screening measure. NCQA is seeking public comment on proposed changes to the Colorectal Cancer Screening measure for HEDIS 2017. Any changes would be considered for the HEDIS 2017 Technical Specifications Update, which is released by October 1, 2016.”

Comments will be accepted Wednesday, July 13th through on Wednesday, August 10th, 2016. Read the proposed changes and submit comments on the NCQA webpage: www.ncqa.org/homepage/ncqa-public-comments/hedis-colorectal-cancer-screening-public-comment
