ACS NCCRT Leadership and National Experts Convene to Explore Opportunity Across the CRC Continuum
Our Newest Blog Highlights the Meeting and Future Work
This past June, we hosted a Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Cross-Continuum Strategy Summit and Steering Committee Retreat to engage in dialogue around understanding and characterizing colorectal cancer-related mortality and mortality-aligning disparities. Our goal was to learn more about why they persist, the potential contributors to cancer outcome disparities, and explore our role as an organization of national leaders to address these ongoing issues. Learn more about these meetings and outcomes in our latest blog post.

Fight Colorectal Cancer’s Catalyst Grant Applications Open
Apply Now to Fund Policy Projects at the State and Local Level
ACS NCCRT member, Fight Colorectal Cancer, shared the following opportunity: Fight Colorectal Cancer’s 2025-2026 Catalyst Program grant applications are officially live! The Catalyst Program provides funding and technical assistance to coalitions working to advance state-level policy to increase access to colorectal cancer screening. Grant recipients receive access to a nationally recognized facilitator to develop a comprehensive action plan, resources for adaptation including action alerts, communications and social media support, and a network of state and national subject matter experts to support policy change.
To date, the Catalyst Program has supported the passage of legislation in nine states to remove out of pocket costs for colonoscopy following an abnormal non-invasive test, worked to advance a protocol to allow pharmacists to prescribe non-invasive colorectal cancer screening tests, supported coalition efforts to secure colorectal cancer as a quality measure for the CMS Adult Core Set, and more. Visit the grant website to view criteria and submit the application with accompanying materials no later than 11:59pm CST on Friday, September 20th. For any questions, please reach out to [email protected].
